Disney Television Animation (DTVA), is the television animation production arm of Disney Branded Television. DTVA is responsible for creating, developing, and producing animation-oriented television series, films, specials, and short films for broadcast predominantly on Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior, and Disney+.

THE PROBLEM
The primary goal of this project was to promote the 'Amphibia Leap Day Marathon' on Disney XD, by producing an awesome animated Video featuring the beloved character Sprig Plantar from the show 'Amphibia.' The objective was to showcase Sprig's exciting adventures while seamlessly integrating backgrounds from various DTVA shows. The strategically timed post aimed to generate excitement for the marathon broadcast on Leap Day.
MY ROLE
As the graphic designer and producer, my role in this project was to help produce a social media animated video featuring Sprig Plantar. I edited Sprig's animated movements using alpha channel video files, scrolled through varied backgrounds from different DTVA shows, and arranged the sound design for an immersive experience. The design process involved collaborative concept ideation, storyboarding, mockups, design iterations, and edits.
Constraints:
· The project had to be completed within a tight timeframe to align with the 'Amphibia Leap Day Marathon' broadcasted on Disney XD.
· Ensuring seamless playback across different platforms was a crucial challenge during the production.
· Iterations and adjustments were required to accommodate feedback from multiple stakeholders, ensuring everyone involved was satisfied with the final product.
THE SOLUTION
We produced a fun and enjoyable 1:1 animated video. Throughout the process, we collaborated closely with the VP of Marketing, Managers, Coordinators, and the show's Writer/Producer to ensure everyone was satisfied with the final version. The result was a dynamic and engaging post that delighted the audience.
POSITIVE METRICS
The animated 1:1 post featuring Sprig Plantar garnered notable engagement, with nearly 13,000 views on Instagram. This post was part of the successful promotion for the 'Amphibia Leap Day Marathon.' The post effectively spoke to the audience, contributing to increased brand visibility and expanding the reach of DTVA's diverse and compelling content.
